Amazon Kindle DX Now Available Worldwide

Now for the first time, Amazon Kindle DX with Global Wireless is available to customers in more than 100 countries. Kindle DX has 9.7 inch electronic paper display, auto rotate capability and a much bigger storage hard drive that can hold around 3,500 books.

Like its predecessor, Kindle DX offers convenient features like 60 second downloads, easy-to-use page-turn buttons, and instant dictionary lookup. It uses the same 3G wireless technology like the advanced cellular phones that are now available on the market so it’s mostly guaranteed that you can always find a Wi-Fi hotspot.

Amazon now also offers more than 3,000 books for international customers, including new releases from your favorite authors like the best sellers from New York Times. These books are usually priced lower than the regular ink and paper books you can find in bookstores. International customers need only to pay the listed price of the books without the roaming fees and other wireless charges.

But here’s the thing: it’s now sold at $489, almost double the price of the previous release. Shipping starts January 19.
