I just spent the last two hours trying to buy Steven Curtis Chapman’s Heaven is the Face single. Guess what, it’s available on iTunes but I can’t buy it. Every time I fill in the information in my iTunes account, a page is displayed telling me that I can’t buy the song because I’m from the Philippines. I got prompted to switch to a US store but when I follow the instructions, I’m taken back to the Philippine store where there’s no music at all.
Any ideas out there?

Just download it illegally! The laws on copyright drive you to piracy – if you cannot get the music you want online and are willing to pay but you cannot get that music then what are you to do? The same thing happened with me – i wanted to buy some mp3 albums legally but was not allowed to because of where I am! Record companies are really dumb and no wonder there is so much piracy.
I totally understand what you're saying. Seems like they make it real hard for people to buy music.
what the fuck!!!! I just experienced the same in itunes! Im so pissed off! what the hell in wrong of being here in the philippines???!!!
Hi Bon,
Looks like we really don't have much of a choice. Even emusic.com doesn't sell to Philippine consumers.
The only website I found so far is mp3va.com. They have more than a million songs and the cost per download is only 15cents. Songs are DRM free. I've tried it already. When you register, they give you 30 cents "load" which you can use to buy at least 2 songs.
Download is good, 320 mp3 bit rate, and the file is stored in your account so you can download it again if you lost your copy. There's a good site review in this link: http://www.mp3vareview.com/
For those who can't buy from iTunes or eMusic, I think this is the closes alternative I can recommend.
